May 2, 1923 –  February 2, 2011  John M. Walsh, born May 2, 1923 in Collinsville, Texas, died peacefully in his sleep on February 2, 2011. He served proudly in the South Pacific in WWII with the U.S. Marine Corps, including tours in Guadalcanal and China. He was an electrical contractor in Dallas for many years; hardworking; good father, friend and mentor to many. He is survived by his sister, three children, long time friend, many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Services are scheduled for Saturday 3 p.m. at Mount Zion Cemetery in Cooke County, Texas, directed by Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
