March 7, 1922 –  September 3, 2015  COLLINSVILLE-Funeral Services for John Henry Holloway, 93, of Collinsville, Texas will be held Saturday, September 5, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at the Collinsville Church of Christ with Ricky Patterson officiating. Interment will follow the services at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Wolfe City, Texas at 2:30 p.m. Visitation will be held Friday, September 4, 2015, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesboro, Texas. He died September 3, 2015, at Wilson N. Jones Hospital, Sherman, Texas with his family by his side.He was born to Archie Dee Holloway and Hazel (Haltom) Holloway, March 7, 1922, in Honey Grove, Texas. He married Sally (Hart) Holloway September 29, 1943, in Hugo, Oklahoma. He was a retired produce manager for Minyard’s Grocery. He enjoyed repairing most anything. He loved to mow and repair his mowers. He was quite the handyman. He was a long time member of the Collinsville Church of Christ.
He is survived by his wife, Sally Holloway of Collinsville; sons, Bruce Holloway and wife, Dana of Lake Worth, Jessie Holloway and wife, Midge of Fayetteville, AR; daughters, Linda Ratcliff of Garland, Sharolette Wright and husband, Cliff of Lorena, Nellie Conner of San Antonio, and Brenda Conner and husband, Chuck of Mesa, Arizona; 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; brother, Jess Holloway of Garland and many nieces and nephews.
Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Archie and Hazel Holloway and, siblings.
