June 9, 1911 –  November 27, 2011  RICHARDSON â?? Funeral services for John Robert â??Bobâ? Cooper, 100, will be held Wednesday, November 30, at 2:00 p.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. David Frierson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Mt. Tabor Cemetery in Sandusky, Texas. Family visitation will be prior to the service at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home.He passed away on November 27, 2011 in Plano, Texas.
Bob Cooper was born on June 9, 1911 to John Robert Beauregard and Hester Elizabeth (Kelsey) Cooper in Red Banks, Marshall County, Mississippi. He married Vera Beatrice Casteel. They were married for 75 years. He was employed as a grain buyer and retired from Cargill. He was an Elder at the Sherwood Shores Chapel. He was an avid fisherman. He was an exemplary member of the greatest generation.
He is survived by his son, Bob Cooper; his daughter and son-in-law, Nell and Larry Froning; son, Terry Cooper; grandchildren: Bob Cooper, Jim Cooper, Richard Cooper, Leanne Breeland, Jeff Young, Beverly Pena, and Brian Cooper; ten great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews and their offspring.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Vera; his brother; four sisters; one half-brother; and one half sister.
Pallbearers will be Jim Cooper, Jeff Young, Bob Cooper, Tony Froning, Brian Cooper, and Richard Cooper.
