May 19, 1939 –  June 5, 2009  WHITESBORO- Graveside Services for Hollie Joe West, 70, will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, 2009 at Antlers City Cemetery in Antlers, Oklahoma. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 7 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, June 8, 2009 at the funeral home.
Joe passed away Friday, June 5, 2009 near Sandusky.

He was born on May 19, 1939 in Antlers, Oklahoma to Andrew and Jenny (Williams) West in Antlers, Oklahoma. He graduated from Antlers High School in 1957. Joe was a believer of the Baptist faith. He retired from General Motors after 30 years of service. Joe was loved by many and was a faithful friend. He loved his family and told them so. Joe loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, and camping. He was a member of the United Auto Workers 276 in Arlington. Joe was a big fan of the Oklahoma Sooners. All-in-all, Joe was a simple man with a big heart.

Survivors include three daughters, Darla West of Euless, Texas, Geneva Howard and, husband, Jeff of Euless, Texas, and Lisa West of Grand Praire, Texas, 2 sons, Troy West and, wife, Sherry of Quinlan, Texas and Joe Mack West and, wife, Lisa of Bedford, Texas, 14 grandchildren, 10 great-grand children, and two sisters, Mary Ellen Hurst of Mesquite and Jessie Dale Fatheree of Nocona.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Andrew and Jenny West, and two brothers, Jack West and Pooch West.

Pallbearers will be Macky Howard, Billy Brady, Jessie Howard, Michael Brady, Joseph West and Christopher West.
