Sherman – Graveside services for Jimmy Thomas Arrington, 76, of Sherman, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 AM on Monday, October 22, 2018 at Collinsville Cemetery in Collinsville, Texas officiated by Chaplain George Wade. There will be a time of visitation for friends and family on Sunday, October 21, 2018 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.He passed away Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at his home in Sherman.

Jimmy was born on November 21, 1941 in Enterprise, Alabama to Ollie and Thelma (Thames) Arrington. He served our country in the United States Navy serving during the Vietnam war. He married Betty Jeanette Price in Las Vegas, NV on July 4, 1976. Jimmy continued to serve our community as a Police Officer for 30 years with the Bonham VA Police Department and for 10 years with the Sherman Police Department. He loved traveling to new places and being outdoors.

He is survived by his wife, Jeanette Arrington of Sherman, daughter, Kineta Arrington Grant and husband, Chris of Atlanta, GA, daughter, Anastasia Arrington of Sherman, brother, James (Buddy) Arrington of Alabama, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Jimmy was preceded in death by his parents, Ollie and Thelma Arrington, brother, Bob Arrington, sister, Peggy Arrington and sister, Betty McKenzie.
