October 25, 1915 –  January 7, 2007  Funeral services for Jewel B. Gaddie, 91, will be at 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 10, 2006 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Randy Mathis and Ron Beard officiating, interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Tuesday, January 9, 2007 at the funeral home.
Mrs. Gaddie passed away Sunday, January 07, 2007 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

Jewel was born on October 25, 1915 in Tioga, Texas to Henry and Mary (Thompson)
Graves. She married Chester Gaddie on October 23, 1932 in Durant, Oklahoma. Jewel
lived in Whitesboro all of her life. She has owned two different grocery stores, Gaddie
Grocery in Whitesboro and Country Boy Grocery in Gainesville. Jewel was a member of
North Union Street Church of Christ in Whitesboro and the Ladies Bible Class. She was
also a member of the Fairview Club of Whitesboro.

Jewel is survived by a daughter Nancy Fletcher and husband Darden of Whitesboro; a foster daughter, Saundra Hart of Quinlan; three grandchildren, Darla Lewis and husband Tim of Southmayd, Derek Fletcher and wife Leslie of Whitesboro and Dyfan Fletcher and wife Dusty of Red Oak; three foster grandchildren, Aundria Dougherty and husband Jim of Houston, Ronda Butler and husband Wendell of Quinlan and Lance Hart and wife Scarlett of Quinlan; 10 great-grandchildren and 6 foster great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Gaddie and eleven brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers: Billy Don Smith, Robert Goodman, H. B. Haynes, C. J. Vannoy, John Skerkis and O. J. Lynn.

Honorary Pallbearers are: Bill Dunnam and Jack Boston.
