May 7, 1939 –  May 17, 2009  SADLER â?? Funeral services for Jerry Randle Bennett, 70, will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 20, 2009 at the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro with Linda Warren officiating, interment will follow at Kendall Chapel Cemetery in Sadler. Funeral Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 P.M. Tuesday, May 19, 2009 at the funeral home.
Jerry passed away on Sunday, May 17, 2009 at his home in Sherman, surrounded by his family.

Jerry was born on May 7, 1939 in Grayson County, Texas to David Randle and Ida Jewell (Rawlins) Bennett. He married Joann Calhoun on September 16, 1961 in Gainesville. Jerry was a member of the Sadler United Methodist Church.

Survivors include a son. Randy Bennett and wife Jana of Whitesboro; a daughter, Robin Harvey and husband Rick of Texline; four grandchildren, Jaclyn Bell and Michael Smothermon, Casey Wills and husband Matt, Hank Bennett and Will Bennett; a great-grandson, Kaden Smothermon; brother, David Gary â??Buckâ? Bennett and wife Thelma of Sadler and a sister, Betty Neasbitt and husband Ele of Sadler.

He was preceded in death by his parents, David and Ida Bennett and his wife, Joann Bennett.
