April 6, 1943 –  July 3, 2013  WHITESBORO ? Funeral services for Jerry Max Varley, 70, will be held Saturday, July 6, 2013 at 3 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, Texas with Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow the service at Macomb Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas. All services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas. Visitation services will be Friday, July 5, from 6:00 ? 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.He passed away at his residence in Whitesboro, Texas on July 3, 2013.
Jerry was born on April 6, 1943 to Clarence and Norena (Overturf) Varley in Whitesboro, Texas. He married Judy Caffey on February 8, 1963. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Collinsville, Texas and a member of the Masonic Lodge #433 A. F. & A. M. He retired from Texas Instruments after 30 years of service. He was a cattle farmer most of his life. He enjoyed bluegrass music. He loved his family and friends and enjoyed visiting with them. He loved the Lord and had a big heart.
He is survived by his wife, Judy Varley, of Whitesboro, TX; daughter, Ronda Theall and husband, Gordon, of Whitesboro, TX; sisters: Wilma Tutt and husband, Billy Ray, of Whitesboro, TX; and Ann Beavert of Whitesboro, TX; grandchildren: Adam Theall and Holly Theall; as well as numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Clarence and Norena Varley.
