Janis Farrell, 69, of Valley View passed away on September 4, 2019 at the Pecan Tree nursing home in Gainesville, Texas, with her family by her side. Funeral Service will be at 2:00 PM, Sunday at the First Baptist Church of Valley View with Bro. Glenn Kelsey officiating.
Janis was born on September 30, 1949, to James and Billye Joy in Foard County, TX. She married Ronnie Farrell on September 9, 1967. They had a daughter together Anita. Janis loved her family. She loved going to family gatherings and spending time with everyone. Her favorite hobbies were to quilt and sew and she was also a fabulous cook. Janis was also a member of the First Baptist Church of Valley View,
She is survived by her husband Ronnie Farrell of Valley View, daughter Anita McCoy and husband Jeffrey. Grandchildren Heather and Garrett McCoy. One sister Sherry Martindale and Husband Max; One brother James Joy and wife Linda.
She is preceded in death by her parents and one sister Kathy Haislip.
Pallbearers are Steve Baty, Randy Reed, Mark Lytle, Keith Nichols, Tommy Russell. Honorary bearers are Allen Tapp and Dennis Pontius.
It’s with our deepest sympathy and heartfelt prayers that go out to all of Janis’s loved ones. May God bless each of you with his divine healing comfort. We will miss her and her life’s legacy will live on through those who knew her.

I was honored to know Janis and her Mom. I cut their hair on many occasions. Janis so loved to sew and loved her grandchildren. I will sure miss her. Prayers for her family ❤️
