February 2, 1926 – April 4, 2014 Graveside services for James Stanley Russom, 88, will be held Tuesday, April 8, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. at Akers Cemetery, Callisburg, Texas with Rev. Doyle Henderson, pastor of Sadler United Methodist Church officiating. He died Friday, April 4, 2014 in Watauga, Texas. Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro is in charge of arrangements.He was born February 2, 1926, to Zac Pope Russom and Eulaluah (Price) Russom. He served in the U. S. Navy in World War II. He was a member of the VFW and Masonic Lodge and dearly loved the Navy and his country. He served for years as an insurance agent.
He is survived by his son, Jim Russom of Watauga, Texas, and a daughter, Marian Russom of Keller, Texas and many nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Zac and Eulaluah Russom; two brothers, Zac Pope Russom, Jr. and Jack Morgan Russom; two sisters, Francis Lee (Russom) Haag and Clara Eulaluah (Russom) DeFord.
