Iva Nell Reed, 89, of Collinsville, Texas was called home to Jesus on Saturday, January 24, 2026.
Iva was born on August 27, 1936 in Southmayd, Texas, to Henry and Myrtle Iona (Holder) Green. She was raised and attended school in Gunter. On June 27,1953 she married Robert Reed and together they made their home in Collinsville. She was a devoted member of the Church of Christ and attended faithfully the Ladies Bible study group and enjoyed signing songs of worship. She was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother to her family.
She is survived by her husband, Robert “Bob” Reed Sr. of Collinsville; son, Robert Reed Jr. of Granbury; daughter, Darla Reed Joseph and her husband, Dr. Ralph Joseph of Plano; grandchildren, Garrett Patterson and his wife, Kim, Blaine Patterson, Alysha Morris and her husband, Jonathan, Robert Reed III, Jonathan Reed, and ten great-grandchildren.
Iva was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Myrtle Green.
Graveside services honoring Iva will be held at 2:00 PM on Thursday, January 29, 2026 at Gunter Cemetery, officiated by Garrett Patterson.
