April 11, 1922 –  December 6, 2007  WHITESBORO â?? A Celebration of Life for Imogene â??Memawâ? Brown, 85, will be 10 A.M. Saturday, December 8, 2007 at the First United Methodist Church in Whitesboro with Dr. Roy Spore officiating. Interment will follow in Sadler Cemetery, directed by Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 7 to 8 P.M. Friday, December 7, 2007 at the funeral home.
Our beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother went to be with her Lord and Savior after a courageous battle with cancer on Thursday, December 6, 2007.

Imogene Brown was born April 11, 1922 in Whitesboro.

Survivors include a daughter in law, Gwen Brown of Whitesboro; two daughters, Deaton Bernice and husband Velton Davis of Irving and Paula Mariner of Whitesboro; two sons, John Brown and wife Linda of Nocona and George Brown and wife Kim of Krum; eight grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Brown; parents, William Wallace and Naomi (Meek) Kyle; a son, Melvin D. Brown, Sr. and a grandchild, Laurie DeAnn Drennan.

Pallbearers will be grandsons.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Home Hospice of Grayson County, P.O. Box 2306, Sherman, TX 75091 or the First United Methodist Church of Whitesboro.
