Herman Leslie Reed, 80, of Collinsville, Texas was called home to Heaven on Monday, May 1, 2023.

Les was born on October 9, 1942 in Grayson County, Texas to John Lyman and Loveda Ray (Carney) Reed.  He was a graduate of Collinsville schools.  Les married Loyd Carrel Henderson on May 5, 1962 in Collinsville, Texas.  He was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville and a former member of the Masonic lodge of Collinsville.  He worked for Vought Aerospace as a welder for 36 years.  Les enjoyed hunting, fishing, painting, woodworking, and stained glass.  He also enjoyed playing golf, going metal detecting, and music.  Les loved his children and grandchildren tremendously and cherished the time spent with them.

He is survived by his son, Philip Reed and wife, Regina of Arlington;  daughter, Sheryl Reed Brown and husband, Lee of Collinsville; daughter, Lara Montgomery and husband, Les of Callisburg; grandchildren, Allyson Adams and husband, Dillon; Emma Page and husband, Mike; Nate Montgomery; Garth Reed; Megan Montgomery; Gracyn Reed; Josh Brown and wife, Lynn; Jared Brown and wife, Jess; great-grandchildren, Reed Adams, Cole Adams, and Harper Brown; brother, William Reed and wife, Brenda; sister, Starlyn Baker and husband, Michael; brother, Lanny Reed and wife, Melisa; brother-in-law, Gene Henderson and wife, Lana; sister-in-law, Nancy Armstrong and husband, Jerry; as well as numerous nieces, nephews and other loving family.

Les was preceded in death by his parents, John and Loveda Reed, and wife, Carrel Reed.

Funeral services honoring Les will be held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 at First Baptist Church of Collinsville, officiated by Rev. Tar Henderson.  Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery.  A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday one hour prior to the service at the church.
