December 27, 1927 –  August 3, 2009  WHITESBORO- Funeral services Harold â??Possumâ? Curnutt, 81, formerly of Blessing, Texas, will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, August 6, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Mike Bentley and Raymond Wiseman officiating. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Wednesday, August 5, 2009 at the funeral home.
Harold passed away on Monday, August 3, 2009 at Baylor Heart Hospital in Plano, Texas.

He was born December 27, 1927 in Canadian, Texas to Columbus and Florance (Adcock) Curnutt. Harold married Betty Hunt on February 27, 1978 in San Antonio, Texas. He was a member of the Church of Christ. Harold loved to go fishing, enjoyed an occasional game of golf with his sons, and gardening. He loved Godâ??s word. Harold was a devoted father, husband, and grandfather.

Survivors include his wife, Betty (Hunt) Curnutt; 2 sons, Richard and, wife, Lisa Curnutt of Shreveport, LA, Thomas and, wife, Laura Curnutt of Blessing, TX; step-son, Carroll Bishop of Whitesboro; step-daughter, Catherine Gennett of Clay Center, KS; eight grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; sister, Thelma Scales of Clovis, NM; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Columbus and Florance Curnutt; five brothers and sisters.

Pallbearers are Martin Meyers, Ron Trammell, David Cox, Bill Dorries, Mike Rankin, and Raymond Wiseman.
