May 4, 1932 –  September 22, 2014  Harold “Butch” Morris of Thackerville, Oklahoma, formerly of Gainesville died Monday, September 22, 2014 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital. He was born May 4, 1932 in Cooke County to Jim and Rena (Shawn) Morris. Butch was a US Army veteran and had worked in the oil field construction before retiring. He was married to Lois Lorene Colwell for fifty-five years, until her death in 2008. There will be public viewing from 12:00 – 8:00 p.m. Wednesday.Services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, September 25th at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Nephews, Jamie Morris, Wayne Ing, Jimmy Don Ing, Kenny Ing, Gary Colwell, Lonnie Wayne Ing and Dean Ing will serve as pallbearers. Lance Morris will be an honorary bearer.
Survivors include son, Robert Charles Morris and wife Alana of Mountain Springs; daughters, Mary McDaniel and husband Morris of Callisburg and Gail Reeves and husband, Steve of Thackerville; twelve grandchildren; many, many great-grandchildren and several great-great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his wife, parents and a brother, James Morris.
