August 19, 1916 –  December 27, 2007  WHITESBORO â?? Glennis Roland Rue, a lifelong resident of Whitesboro, Texas, passed away Thursday, December 27, 2007, at the Whitesboro Nursing Center, after a lengthy illness. She was born August 19, 1916, in Whitesboro, Texas and married Lee Rue, January 23, 1939 in Whitesboro.
She is survived by her two daughters; Betty Jean and husband, Mart Thomas, and Mary Kay and husband, Bud Price; a granddaughter, Elizabeth Lee Price all of Dallas; sisters, Dorothy Snyder and Jane Faulkner, and a brother, G.W. (Dub) Roland and wife Ann; sister-in-law, Nellie Rue, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Glennis was preceded in death by her parents, George and Emma Roland; her husband, Lee Rue; sisters, Kathryn Wyrick, Francis Hough, Edith Ramsden, Gussie Esenwein, and Lucille Morrow, and a brother, Billy Joe Roland.

Glennis was a homemaker and after retirement, enjoyed traveling with her daughters and granddaughter and visiting and keeping in touch with all her family and friends and enjoying the Senior Citizensâ?? dances every week. She was a longtime member of the First Presbyterian Church in Whitesboro.

Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Sunday, December 30, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Dr. Richard Nourse officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will precede the funeral service at 1:00 P.M. on Sunday.
