November 23, 1938 –  March 14, 2015  GAINESVILLE – Glenn Goode (The Fiberglass Man), 76, born November 23, 1938 to Walter and Almeda Goode on a farm near Gunter, Texas went on to be with his Lord and Savior on March 14, 2015. He was born again of water and spirit on December 24, 1956 (Acts 2:38). Glenn Goode was in the fiberglass and sandblasting business for over 44 years and was known as THE FIBERGLASS MAN, with five big fiberglass people on Walnut Bend Road, Gainesville. He married Mary Jean Henderson Goode on July 5, 1957 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Gainesville. They were married for 55 years until her death on June 29, 2012. Bro. Glenn Goode was the pastor of the Holiness Church of Jesus Christ at 5510 Hwy. 82, Gainesville for 36 years.He is survived by sons: Darin Goode of Krum; Jay Dee Goode of Sherman; Duane Goode of Leonard; daughters: Glenda Steed of Gainesville; and Lisa Bloom and husband, Ryan, of Sanger; brothers: Tommy Goode and wife, Sandra, of Gainesville; and Alan Goode and wife, Sandy, of Eastland; 12 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, Texas, with Bro. Melvin Jackson of Fort Worth Holiness Church of Jesus Christ officiating, assisted by Bro. Marlin Harp. The family will be gathered for visitation services at Meador Funeral Home on Tuesday, March 17, from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Meador Funeral Home on Wednesday, March 18, at 10:00 a.m. Burial will follow the services at Oakwood Cemetery, Whitesboro, Texas.
