Glaydene Roberts, 85 of Gainesville, Texas passed away on December 1, 2025 with her family by her side.  She was born on March 31, 1940 in Denison, Texas to Lee Grant Spencer and Jessie May (Cooper) Spencer.  Glaydene was a graduate of Terrell High School and played sports in school.  She enjoyed watching sports on tv and westerns.  She was a member of the Mt. Olive 1st Baptist church. She worked and managed a retail store in California and when she moved to Texas she worked for over 30 years at Walmart.

Glaydene is survived by daughter, Gloria Jeanette Roberts of Oklahoma City, Ok; sisters, Mary J. Hunter of Gainesville, TX and Loreta Felton of Oakland, CA ; grandchildren, Andre Pipkin, Shunetta August Holmes all of Oklahoma City, OK; great-grandchildren, Briauna Spragans of Arizona, Melvin Minnifield, Jr. of Arizona, Yaphire Holmes of Oklahoma City, OK, Dav Rayvon Holmes of Oklahoma City, OK, King Sekani Tate of Oklahoma City, Ok, Jerhica Roberts of Texas; great-great-grandchildren, Jahleiyah Barrow, Najai Minnifield, Nalani Minnifield, Larriah Minnifield all of Arizona; special friend-caregiver, Ted Mangrum of Gainesville, TX; several nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by parents, Jessie Spencer and Lee Grant Spencer; brother, William L. Spencer; grandchild, Anthony Roberts; great-grandchild, Heavenly Zion Holmes.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, December 13, 2025 at 11:00am at Meador Funeral Home, 1204 E. California Street, Gainesville, Texas.  Pastor Frank Lorne will conduct the service.  Interment to follow at Fairview Cemetery, Gainesville, Texas.

Glaydene will have public viewing at Meador Funeral Home Chapel on Friday, December 12, 2025 from 8:00am-5:00pm for anyone wishing to come and sign the Register book and pay respects.
