June 4, 1912 –  December 21, 2012  WHITESBORO ? Memorial services for Geraldine ?Geri? (Harkins) Humes, 100, will be held Saturday, January 19, 2013, at 2:00 p.m., at the First Presbyterian Church of Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Clay Brantley officiating, assisted by Rev. Richard Nourse. She passed away on December 21, 2012 in Gunter, Texas.
Geri was born on June 4, 1912, to Cleon W. and Ota Belle (Gutheil) Harkins in Menlo, Iowa. She married William Thomas Humes in 1935 in Paillion, Nebraska. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. She enjoyed the Red Hat Club of Whitesboro and Gordonville. She was retired from Prudential Insurance.
She is survived by her sons: Jack Humes and wife, Sandy; and James Humes, both of Whitesboro, TX; six grandchildren; and 5 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Cleon and Ota Harkins; and her husband, Tom Humes.
