April 27, 1943 –  February 7, 2012  WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Freda Dobbs, 68, will be held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 11, 2012 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Rick Carney and Rev. Scott Jordan officiating. Interment will follow at Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10, 2012 at the funeral home. Freda passed away on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2012 at her residence.
She was born on April 27, 1943 in Collinsville, TX to Emmot Cecil Dobbs and Willie Opal (McKnight) Dobbs. She worked as a Occupational Health Nurse for Procter & Gamble for 21 years before retirement. She loved to travel, gamble, play games and take cruises. She was a member of Bones Chapel Baptist Church in Whitesboro.
Survivors include a son, Mickey Simmons and wife, Kelly of Mason, Ohio; a daughter, Misti Lehman and husband, Jeremy of Waco, Texas; grandchildren, Michael Simmons, Grace Lehman, Isaac Lehman and Ella Lehman; a sister, Dorothy Ludlam; a brother, Cecil Dobbs; and her significant other, Mark Woodruff.
She was preceded in death by her parents and 7 siblings.
Pallbearers are Garry Ludlam, Larry Ludlam, Bobby Dobbs, Michael Dobbs, Chris Dobbs and Chris Hopkins.
