June 25, 1926 –  September 20, 2006  Sadler â?? Funeral Services for Francis Ray â??F.R.â? Hightower, 80 will be 10:00 A.M. Saturday, Sept. 23, 2006 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Raymond Crawley officiating. Interment will follow in Sadler Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 7 P.M. Friday, Sept. 22, 2006 at the funeral home.
Mr. Hightower passed away Wednesday, Sept. 20, 2006 at his home in Sadler.

He was born June 25, 1926 in Grayson Co. to R.R. and Opal Dale (Fraley) Hightower. He was a WW II Veteran in the U.S. Army. He married Nata Faye Williams on Dec. 20, 1947 in Whitesboro. He owned and operated Hightowerâ??s Radio and TV Shop in Sadler before going to work for Texas Instruments where he retired after 20 years of service. He was a member of Sadler United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Nata Hightower of Sadler; four daughters, Sandra Fanning of Fort Worth, Donna Carden and husband Ken of Sadler, Jo Anne Fanning of San Antonio and Hedy Williams and husband Kenneth of Sadler; a son, Steven Hightower and wife Kathy of Sherman; a brother, James Hightower and wife Sylvia of Sadler; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, R.R. and Opal Dale Hightower and a sister, Virginia Huffman.

Pallbearers are Lyn Vessels, Wayne Vessels, James Parks, Alan Jones, Bill Hazelwood and Kenny Sturgill.

Honorary Pallbearers are Kenneth Williams, Ken Carden, Jimmy Hightower, Jim Furey and Gregg Miles.
