Frances Irene Pilcher, 84, of Collinsville, Texas was called home to her Lord and Savior on Tuesday, September 17, 2024.
Frances was born on March 25, 1940 in Gainesville, Texas to Jay and Opal (West) Lones. She married Wayne “Shorty” Pilcher on September 3, 1955 in Gainesville, Texas and they were married for 56 years prior to his passing in 2012. Frances was a member of the Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Collinsville. She worked as the City Secretary for Collinsville for over 20 years. She enjoyed crocheting and working on puzzles. Frances was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother to her family.
She is survived by her son, Ronnie Pilcher and wife, Niki, daughter, Julie Pilcher, grandchildren, Josh Pilcher and wife, Jessica, Ross Pilcher and wife, Kristin, Jessica Parker, and Nathan Smart, as well as twelve great-grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter.
Frances was preceded in death by her parents, Jay and Opal Lones, husband, Wayne “Shorty” Pilcher, son, David Pilcher, brother, Edward Lones, and sister, Willie Mae Freeman.
Graveside services honoring Frances will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, September 20, 2024 at Collinsville Cemetery, officiated by Rickey Patterson. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Thursday, September 19, 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00PM at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro.

I met Frances (and Wayne )about 1965 as they were my inlawa wonderful neighbors.(Cecil and Virgie Leverett).
