April 18, 1924 –  January 17, 2007  COLLINSVILLE รข?? Funeral Services for Florine Kerr, 82 will be 10 A.M. Saturday, January 20, 2007 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Rev. Johnny Kimberlin and Rev. Jerry Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Collinsville Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 7 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home.
Florine passed away Wednesday, January 17, 2007 at her home in Collinsville.

She was born April 18, 1924 in Whitesboro to General Martin and Alice May (Cardwell) Thompson. Florine married Alford Kerr on August 22, 1941 in Gainesville. She was a seamstress for Russell-Newman, Inc. in Pilot Point for 30 years. She was of the Baptist Faith.

Survivors include a son, Roger Kerr and wife Clara of Collinsville; a daughter, June Stephenson and husband Jay of Howe; a sister, Pauline Faulkner of Jasper; a brother in law, Clinton Strong of Plano; four grandchildren, Vince Kerr, Brad Kerr, Lisa Reed and husband Jeff, all of Collinsville and Lauren Cashion and husband Wade of Sherman; eight great-grandchildren, Michael Kerr, Tyler Kerr, Dalton Kerr, Austin Reed, Anna Reed and Amanda Talkington, all of Collinsville, Brandon Kerr of Gainesville and Caleb Cashion of Sherman; several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, General Martin and Alice May Thompson; her husband, Alford Kerr; a brother, Lester Thompson; and five sisters, Bell Hite, Ethel McLaughlin, Dora Walsh, Ruby Strong and Lucille Thompson.

Pallbearers will be Clyde Carney, Marshall Carney, Jeff Bice, C.J. Carney, Curtis Fails and Doug Yates.

Honorary Pallbearer will be Paul Clark.
