August 13, 1927 –  April 12, 2014  A memorial service for Gainesville resident, Evelyn Ruth Bryant, 86, will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, April 23rd at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Bill Black officiating. Mrs. Bryant passed away Saturday, April 12, 2014 at Renaissance Care Center.
Evelyn was born August 13, 1927, in Waxahachie, Texas, the daughter of Frank and Alma (Rubel) Durham. She had attended a Baptist church in Waxahachie before moving to Gainesville and was a homemaker.

Survivors of Evelyn Ruth Bryant include a son and daughter-in-law, Bobby and Tonda Bryant of Mountain Springs; brothers, J.B. Steel of Cedar Creek and Johnny Pat Steel of Ennis; twelve grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, William Alvin Bryant; six children, Joyce, Claude, James, George, Donna and David and seven siblings, Earnestine (Tiny), Rita Mae, Barbara Ann, Deborah, James, Bobby and Dan.
