June 7, 1932 –  April 13, 2012  Ernest “Ernie” Husmann,79, died Friday evening, April 13, 2012 at his residence in Muenster. Ernie was born in Chapman, Nebraska June 7, 1932, the son of Otto and Ella Husmann. He graduated from Chapman High school in 1950 and married Doris Robertson on May 2, 1952 while living in Grand Island, Nebraska. Mr. Husmann was a self-employed builder. He loved to fish, hunt, garden and dance and will be remembered as a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.Funeral Services for Ernie Husmann will be 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, April 18th at Meador-Clement-Keel Chapel with Hospice Chaplain Jared Wallace officiating. Mr. Husmann’s grandsons will be pallbearers. Visitation will be Tuesday evening from 7:00 â?? 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
Survivors of Ernest Husmann include his wife, Doris Husmann of Muenster; children, Cindy Johnson and husband, David of Trenton, Missouri, Tom Husmann and wife, Cathy of Euless, Bill Husmann and wife, Kathy of Lindsay; Nancy Murray and husband, Phillip of Lindsay and Shirley Snodgrass and husband, Larry of Tyler; sisters, Dorothy Lilienthal of Grand Island, Nebraska and Beverly Nelson of Lincoln, Nebraska; brother, Bob Husmann of Chapman, Nebraska; son-in-law, Gary Ferguson of Trenton, Missouri; fourteen grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, Otto and Ella Husmann; daughter Leanne Ferguson; son, Darrell Husmann and brother, Kenneth Husmann.
