June 12, 1921 –  August 15, 2012  WHITESBORO â?? Funeral services for Emma Belle Truitt, 91, will be held Friday, August 17, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Lonnie Dotson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Oakwood Cemetery. Family visitation will be held Thursday evening, August 16, from 7-8 p.m. at the funeral home.She passed away on August 15, 2012 in North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, Texas.
Emma was born on June 12, 1921 to James Columbus and Lillie Mae (Purcell) Davidson in Myra, Texas. She married R. C. Truitt on January 27, 1941 in Madill, Oklahoma. She was of the Baptist Faith.
She is survived by her children: Robert Truitt of Jacksonville, TX; Eddie Truitt of Gainesville, TX; Rosalee Truitt of Whitesboro, TX; and Doris Hilliard of Sanger, TX; five grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and three sisters-in-law.
She was preceded in death by her parents, J. C. and Lillie Mae Davidson; her husband, R. C. Truitt; and her daughter, Jane Dotson.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Truitt, Shane Truitt, Lewis Hilliard, Gene Crowder, Alan Woody and Clyde Dotson.
