October 15, 1904 –  April 11, 2012  GAINESVILLE – Funeral Services for Ellena Moore, 107, will be held at 1 p.m. on Thursday, April 19th at Grand Avenue Baptist Church in Gainesville with Rev. Adrian Pegues officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the church prior to the service. Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home in Gainesville.Mrs. Moore passed away on Wednesday, April 11 at Pecan Tree Health & Rehab Center in Gainesville.
She was born on Oct. 15, 1904 in Author City, Texas to Virgil and Ida (Dangerfield) Moore. She was a maid for Lucy Stark for many years and was a homemaker. Mrs. Moore was also a member of the Trinity Temple Church of God in Christ in Gainesville.
Survivors include a son, Roy Moore, Jr. of Virginia; 2 sisters, Aletha Royal of Arkansas and Ula Riggs of Gainesville; and a host of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy Moore; her parents; and 3 sons, Willie L. Savage, Ray Moore and Ronnie Moore.
