April 29, 1932 –  January 16, 2017  Funeral Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 19th at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Arthur Green officiating. Interment will follow at New Rest Haven Cemetery under the direction of Meador Funeral Home. Ray Scott, Jerrod Gray, Rocky Gray, Matt Smith and Solomon Angerstien will serve at pallbearers. No visitation is planned.Gainesville resident, Elizabeth Hayes, 84, passed away on Monday, January 16, 2017 at North Texas Medical Center. She was born April 29, 1932 in Gainesville, Texas to Bennett and Lonie (Kerr) McLerran. Elizabeth was a homemaker.
Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Corrine Hayes of Arlington; grand-daughters, Alyssa Ashley Hayes of Arlington, and Tiffany Hayes of Denison; grandsons, Jerry Michael Hayes of Grand Prairie and Melvin L. Hayes of Grand Prairie and ten great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, Lee Roy Hayes.
