March 3, 1926 –  April 22, 2016  Edith Oneta Whittington, 90, passed away Friday, April 22, 2016 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville, Texas. She was born to William Felton and Myrtle Viola Cantrell, in Valley View, Texas on March 26, 1926. She married Charles Whittington who preceded her in death March 17, 1997. No services are Planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Meador Funeral Home, Gainesville.
Survivors include her daughters, Tammy and husband, Bryan Rasure of Marietta, Oklahoma, Patricia and husband, Johnny Bell of Krum, Dorothy Brown of California and Cathy Brown of California; sister, Hazel Argo of Gainesville; several grandchildren, great and great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband she was preceded in death by her parents,three sons, four brothers and one sister.
