May 16, 1934 – August 12, 2008 Sherwood Shores â?? Memorial services for Edison (Ed) Monroe Gardner, 74, will be held at 2:00 P.M. Friday, August 15, 2008 at Faith Baptist Church in Gordonville, TX, with Rev. Jim Hardwick officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro.
Mr. Gardner passed away on Tuesday, August 12, 2008, at Texoma Medical Center in Denison.
Ed was born on May 16, 1934 in Norton, Virginia. He married Bonnie McNew on September 12, 1998 in Halton City. Texas. He was retired from the United States Air Force and a Deacon of Faith Baptist Church in Gordonville. Ed loved fishing and golfing and he loved his dog Nicky.
He is survived by his wife, Bonnie of Gordonville; sons, Tim House of Cleburne, Joe Freeman of Norton, Virginia; two daughters, Angela Barron of Venus and Julie Baker of Sherwood Shores; 7 grandchildren; sister, Shirley Bolling of Wise, Virginia and brother, Kyle Gardner of Wise, Virginia.
Daddy as I sit here today on your birthday I have so many emotions running through me. I miss you. I have missed you everyday for the past 12 years like crazy. You was my rock, my hero. I love you daddy and I will forever and always be your little girl.
