September 11, 1928 –  October 19, 2016  A Memorial Service for Douglas Eugene Edwards will be held at 7:00 p.m. Thursday, November 3rd at Spring Grove Church of Christ on Highway 82 in Gainesville. Minister Billy Miller and members of the Masonic Lodge will be officiating.
Douglas Edwards, passed away October 19, 2016 at Denton Presbyterian Hospital at the age of eighty-eight. He was born in Morris, Oklahoma on September 11, 1928 to Ell and Mary (Nichols) Edwards. Douglas had worked in construction.

Survivors include his sisters Velma Ellis of Memphis, Tennessee and Mary Cox of Englewood, Kansas and several nephews and nieces. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Wayne Edwards and sister, Margaret Blackmon.
