September 26, 1922 – February 14, 2009 WHITESBORO รข?? Graveside Services for Dorothy Elouise (Tipton) Rector, 86, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday, Feb. 18, 2009 at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro with Rev. Richard Nourse officiating. Services are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. No formal visitation is planned.
Elouise passed away on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2009 in Corpus Christi, Texas.
Elouise was born on September 26, 1922 in Howe, Texas to Dewey Tipton and Lucy Lee (Davenport) Tipton. She was an accomplished artist, painting pictures in various mediums. Elouise also played the piano and, earlier in life, enjoyed golf and traveling with her husband. Her quick wit and warmness will be missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmie Oliver Rector, who was her friend since they were 8 years old and her husband since March 20, 1943, a son, Jimmy Dan Rector and wife Denise of Corpus Christi, a granddaughter, Connie Lee Medley and husband Monty, and three wonderful great-grandchildren, Montgomery, Garrison and Scout.
