SAVOY ? Funeral services for Doris Nell Harvey, 68, will be held Tuesday, October 8, 2013, at 2:00 p.m. in the Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro, Texas with Rev. Derrell Brubaker officiating. Interment will follow the service at Dixie Cemetery. There will be no visitation services.

She passed away on October 6, 2013 in Savoy, Texas.

Doris was born on January 7, 1945 in Cullman, Alabama to John and Mildred (Tucker) Turner. She married Joe Harvey in September 1959 in Sherman, Texas. She was a member of the Assembly of God faith. She was a former minister. The family wishes to thank the Heart to Heart Hospice and Mullican Care Center, especially Lucy and Virginia, for their wonderful care of Doris.

She is survived by her brother, Jerry Houston Turner, of Keller, TX; her sisters: Shirley Ann Maeberry, of Wichita Falls, TX; Carlie Turner, of Eva, AL; and Carolyn Kay Pinkston, of Sherman, TX; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her children: Ruby Nell Harvey and John Henry Harvey; and her parents, John and Mildred Turner.
