February 13, 1948 –  December 18, 2010  WHITESBORO – Funeral services for Donna Kay McCray, 62, will be held Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. at the Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Joe Patterson officiating. Interment will follow the service at Sadler Cemetery. Family visitation will be Tuesday, December 21, from 7 – 8 p.m. at the funeral home. All service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX.Donna McCray passed away December 18, 2010 in Whitesboro, TX after an extensive battle with cancer. She is remembered as a strong, courageous woman.
She was born to Virgil and Mary (Ballard) Looney on February 13, 1948 in Sherman, TX. She married Donnald Dean McCray on January 2, 1993 in Sadler, TX. She enjoyed scrapbooking, crochet, and crafts. She liked to shop and loved her dog, Harley. She enjoyed spending time with her family.
She is survived by her best friend, Joe Lowry of Whitesboro, TX; her daughters, Michelle Darnell of Sadler, TX; and Shannon Darnell of Whitesboro, TX; and four grandchildren, Andrea Rich of Centerville, TX; and Kaylee Darnell of Sadler, TX; Jessica Darnell of Whitesboro, TX; and Morgan Darnell of Sadler, TX; and her dog, Harley.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Donnald McCray; and her parents, Virgil and Mary Looney.
The pallbearers will be Paul Lowry, Michael Darnell, Shane Darnell, Ronny Golden, Mark Rich, and Tim Martin.
