Donald Ray Miller-Howard, 71, of Valley View, Texas, was called to his eternal home on Wednesday, January 28, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.
Donnie was born on June 16, 1954 in Gainesville, Texas, to Billy Joe Howard Sr. and Emma Mae Stewart. He served proudly in the United States Army during the Vietnam war. On September 27, 2025 he married Jean Mitchell in Gainesville, Texas. Donnie enjoyed riding his Harley, fishing, and spending time with his family, especially the grandchildren.
He is survived by his wife, Jean Miller of Valley View; son, Anthony Mitchell and wife, Venessa, of Washington State; daughter, Elizabeth Mitchell of Midland; son, Jonathan Mitchell of Iowa; son, Robert Miller of Oklahoma; son, Joe Bob Miller of Oklahoma; 23 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren, mother, Emma Mae Howard, two sisters, and a brother.
Donnie was preceded in death by his father, Billy Joe Howard Sr., brother, Tommy Howard, sister, Peggy Howard, brother, Kenneth Howard, and sister, Dovie Land.
Pallbearers will be Anthony Mitchell, Eric Johnston, Dominic Johnston, Alexander Johnston, Rob Miller, and Joe Miller.
Funeral services honoring Donnie will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro, officiated by Bro. Tim McLaughlin. Interment will follow at Macomb Cemetery in Whitesboro. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, February 3. 2026 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Meador Funeral Home.
