September 6, 1927 –  January 1, 2015  Funeral Services for Deryl (Lester) Barnes will be held Tuesday, January 6, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Gainesville with Rev. J. L. Williams officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be held Monday, January 5th from 6:00 to 8:00 pm. at Meador Funeral Home. He passed away Thursday, January 1, 2015 at Gainesville, Texas at the age of eighty-seven. Meador Funeral Home of Gainesville is in charge of arrangements.He was born to Lester R. and Iva Jewel (Estes) Barnes on September 6, 1927 in Gainesville, Texas.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Barnes; sons, Larry Barnes of Muskogee, Oklahoma, Kent and wife, Gail Barnes of Glen Rose, Texas, Ronnie Harper and wife, Karen of Combine, Texas, Robert Harper and wife, Cindy of Irving, Texas; daughters, Brenda Moore of Dallas, Texas and Lisa and Bryan White of Mesquite, Texas; Grandchildren, Ashley Walker, Ivy Barnes, Carolyn Barnes, David Barnes, Stefanie Sneed, Ryan Harper, Russel Harper, Nancy Casteel, Lane Harper, Jacob Harper, Brandon Dix, Jonathan Taylor, Angela Taylor, Michael Moore, Jerad White and Britni White; and several Great-Grandchildren and one sister, Barbara Phillips of Keller, Texas.
