Denise passed away Saturday, June 14, 2008 at Wilson N. Jones Medical Center in Sherman.

She was born March 3, 1961 in Odessa, Texas to Willis Leon and Wanda (Graham) Kirby. She married Gregory Gilmore on Sept. 25, 2002 in Whitesboro.

Denise was a woman driven by God and family. She built her foundation on Godâ??s Word and led her family by example. She was quick to encourage those around her and always left others with a sense of peace. Denise was an exceptional mother and wife by nature. Not only to her three children, but to her nieces, sisters, family, friends, and even to people she barely knew. Words that have been used to describe her are, lively, generous, encouraging, nurturing, independent and faithful. She invested in people and welcomed anyone with open arms. She lived her life with joy and favored the scripture, 1 Peter 1:3, â??We have a lively hopeâ?. Denise is now living in her lively hope. In her Bible, she circled a scripture in 2 Corinthians 3:11; â??For if what is passing away was glorious, what remains is much more glorious.â? Denise is now and forever more living and rejoicing in the glorious body of Jesus Christ, Amen.

Survivors include her husband, Gregory Gilmore of Whitesboro, a son Brandon Anderson and wife Jayme of Whitesboro, two daughters, Natalie Knowlton and husband Andrew of Denton and Ashlee Arrington and husband Anthony of Sherman, her mother, Wanda Zouzalik of Flatonia, three sisters, Lisa Kirby-Moore of Duncanville, Rene â??Nanaâ? Brennan of Greenville and Cindy Barnecky of Midland, and many grand puppies.
