November 10, 1928 –  May 21, 2009  WHITESBORO- Funeral Services for Delphene M. Coulson, 80, will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009 at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Whitesboro with Mark Coulson officiating. Interment will follow in Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27, 2009 at the funeral home.
Delphene passed away on Thursday, May 21, 2009 at Parkland Health & Hospital System in Dallas.

Delphene was born on November 10, 1928 in Hagerman to Hullon and Zada (Findley) Gravette. She married Forrest E. Coulson on January 10, 1947 in Denison. Delphene was a long time member of the East Side Church of Christ in Whitesboro and most recently the North Union St. Church of Christ in Whitesboro. She loved to oil paint, with her specialty being flowers and landscapes. Delphene loved her family dearly.

Survivors include 2 sons, Mark Wayne Coulson and wife Sylvia of Waxahachie, Sandy Coulson and wife Glenda of Collinsville; a daughter, Malda Bates and husband Leroy of Carrollton; 9 grandchildren, Brent Bates, Brandon Bates, Katy Compton, Jennifer Payne, Derek Coulson, Elijah Coulson, Bonnie Coulson, Wendy Coulson and Turner Coulson; 2 sisters, Hulena Clounch and Lee Colwell of Whitesboro; great-granddaughter, Clare Bates; brother-in-law Jim Sizemore and wife Glynda and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hullon and Zada Gravette; husband, Forrest (Junior) Coulson; a grandson, Cameron Coulson and a sister, Clemmia Rose Sizemore.

Pallbearers are: Brent Bates, Brandon Bates, Derek Coulson, Turner Coulson, Elijah Coulson and Cody Payne.
