April 6, 2014 –  December 3, 2014  Gainesville resident, Dannie Mae Carr (74) died Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center. She was born in Celina, Texas April 6, 1940, the daughter of Dan and Myrtle (Long) Jones. Dannie had worked for Cooke County as an assistant auditor for twenty-eight years before retiringServices will be held at 10:00 a.m. Saturday, December 6th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel in Gainesville with Rev. Hollis Parsons officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday evening from 6:00-8:00 at the funeral home.
Survivors include daughter and son-in-law, Christie and Tim Pearson of Gainesville; son and daughter-in-law, Yerbie and Cheryl Carr of Lewisville; son, Willie Carr of Gainesville; sisters, Ann Perkins of Mesquite and Evelyn Barbour of Valley View; grandchildren, Kara Carr, Keith MacPherson, Kody MacPherson, Ryan Rubio, Hailey Rubio, James Pearson and Brandi Pearson and six great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a daughter, Nickie Carr and her parents.
