Whitesboro – Funeral services for Clifton Ray Burton, 56, of Whitesboro will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 16, 2018 at Meador Funeral Home of Whitesboro. Interment will follow at Chambersville Cemetery. There will be a time of visitation for family and friends on Thursday, November 15, 2018 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the funeral home. Clif passed away on Friday, November 9, 2018 at his home in Whitesboro.

He was born June 19, 1962 in Dallas, Texas to Billy Glenn and Elizabeth Ann (King) Burton. While in high school he taught himself to speak Spanish. He worked as a real estate inspector, working all over the state of Texas. He was a man who loved animals, loved taking care of the family farm, and loved his family and all the children. Clif was all about his family, quitting his job to come back home and take care of his parents. He was a long-time member of the APHA and AQHA Association.

He is survived by his daughter, Alycia Bennett, daughter, Kathleen Burton, daughter, Julia Burton, father, Billy Burton, sister, Beverly Twigg, brother, Gregory Burton, niece, Laura Palin, nephew, Matthew Burton, granddaughter Emmeline, six great-nieces and one great-nephew.

Clif was preceded in death by his mother, Elizabeth Burton and great-niece, Samantha Palin.

Pallbearers will be Les Bennett, Mark Palin, Matt Burton, Russell Osborn, Ron Smith and Preston Cecil.
