August 30, 1924 – December 5, 2009 GORDONVILLE รข?? Funeral Services for Claude H. Fennell, Jr., 85, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 9, 2009 at the Sherwood Shores Chapel in Gordonville with Rev. David Frierson officiating. Interment will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro. Visitation will be from 6 p.m. until 7 p.m. on Tuesday at the funeral home.
Claude passed away on Saturday, Dec. 5, 2009 at the Whitesboro Health and Rehab. Center in Whitesboro.
He was born on Aug. 30, 1924 in Sugar Grove, Arkansas to Claude H. Fennell, Sr. and Mary Joanna (Scott) Fennell. Claude served in the U.S. Army during WWII in New Guinea and the Phillipines. He married Maudean Ingram on June 2, 1947 in Ratcliff, Arkansas. Claude had a great sense of humor, always telling funny stories and jokes. He enjoyed the holidays and family gatherings. Claude enjoyed watching the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. His hobby was keeping track of the weather. He was a member of the Sherwood Shores Chapel.
Survivors include his wife, Maudean I. Fennell of Gordonville; 2 sons, David S. Fennell and wife, Cindy of Richardson, and Gary Don Fennell and wife, Sherry of Houston; 7 grandchildren; and 3 great-grandchildren.
