January 11, 1939 –  September 29, 2016  Funeral services for Charles Raymon Medlen, 77, of Gainesville are set for 2:00 p.m. Monday, October 3rd at Southside Baptist Church with Rev. Duke Dowling officiating. Interment will follow in Valley View Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m. on Sunday, October 2nd at Meador Funeral Home.
Charles died Thursday, September 29, 2016 in Gainesville. He was born on January 11, 1939 in Olney, Texas to Rhom and Lennie (Steadman) Medlen. He married Pearl Nash June 24, 1967 in Gainesville. He served in the United States Army. He was raised in Valley View and moved to Gainesville in 1967

Survivors include his wife, Pearl Medlen of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Connie & David Craft of Gainesville; daughter, Cheryl Medlen of Valley View; grandson Chance Milligan of Callisburg; great granddaughter, Audrie Milligan. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister, Roylene Medlen.
