Graveside services for Celma Lee Walker Harville, 97, will be held Saturday, February 1, 2014, at 11 a.m. at the Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas. Service arrangements are under the direction of Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro. She passed away in Gainesville, Texas on January 30, 2014.
Celma was born in Cooke County on March 16, 1916 to W. D. and Bennie (Baker) Walker. She graduated from Gainesville High School in 1934 and from Gainesville Junior College in 1936. She earned a B. A. from Austin College in Sherman, Texas and a Master?s Degree from the University of North Texas in Denton, Texas. She taught school in Cooke County, Lubbock, and Dallas for 39 years.
She married Pat Harville in 1943. She was a member of Tabernacle Baptist Church in Gainesville, Texas.
She is survived by her nephews: David Lee and Oma Lee Walker; Archie Ray and Tammy Walker and several great nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Pat Harville; her parents, W. D. and Bennie Walker, her brother, Charles Walker, and her great nephew, Wesley Walker.
