August 25, 1926 –  August 15, 2013  Funeral services for Bro. Milton Pledger are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Monday, August 19th at Temple Baptist Church with Rev. Tony Graves and Rev. Eddie Ramsey officiating. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Johnny Moore, John Straughn, Clay Carter, Darrell Sutton, Chris Heigel, Ken Blakey, Jimmy Davis and Ronnie Horner will be pallbearers. Honorary bearers will be Lester Hayney, Otto Hillton, Don Mode and Royce Young. Visitation will be 2:00 – 4:00 p.m. Sunday at Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. Bro. Milton passed away Thursday, August 15, 2013 at Pecan Tree Health and Rehab Center.
Milton was born August 25, 1926 in Tyler, Texas, the son of Zack and Janie (McCulloch) Pledger. He married Mary Lee Benthall August 1, 1947 in Winona, Texas. Bro. Milton was a retired Baptist minister.

Survivors of Milton Pledger include his daughter, Marnie Greathouse and husband, Jim of Gainesville; son, Zack Milton Pledger, Jr. and wife Carla of San Angelo; daughter, Patricia Bassett and husband, Don of Healdton, OK; son-in-law, Dick Morgan of Gainesville; nine grandchildren and twenty-two great-grandchildren. In addition to his wife and parents, Milton was preceded in death by a daughter, Janie Morgan; grandson, Ray Gene Bassett; one sister and two brothers.

Services are under the direction of Meador-Clement-Keel Funeral Home. .
