Brett Taylor Jantz, 56, of Gonzales, Louisiana, succumbed to congestive heart failure in the comfort of his own home on April 30, 2021.

Brett is survived by, son Nolan Jantz, stepchildren, Shanon Van Dyne and husband, Jimmy, Chris Stodghill and wife, Maggie, parent, Mary Lounsbury and husband, George, brothers, Randy Lounsbury and wife, Becky, Chris Lounsbury and Kevin Lounsbury and husband, Ray, sisters, Julie Knowlton and husband, Kirk, Deneen Brake and husband, Michael, Shawna Farrill and husband, Benny, Gwin Funk and husband, Trent, and many nieces, nephews and extended family. Brett was a loving father, brother, uncle, and friend to everyone.

Brett was preceded in death by his loving father, Perry Jantz, his stepmother, Levona Jantz and his brother, Reb Lounsbury

Brett loved sports, especially football, where his favorite team was the Buffalo Bills. He spent most of his life coaching pop warner football.  He worked in many capacities of business, most recently as an integral part of the corporate sector of Home Depot. He spent his free time watching various sports games live and on TV; and he had acquired partial ownership of multiple racehorses. He also enjoyed movies and writing during the off-season. He was a published author and was very proud of his book “It’s about Women, I guess”. Brett was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects, coached different sports or whatever else people needed him for.

The family would like to extend their sincerest gratitude towards Meador Funeral Home for being very accommodating and understanding during this difficult time.

Funeral services for Brett will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday, May 15, 2021 at Meador Funeral Home in Whitesboro, TX. Brett will be laid to rest at Oakwood Cemetery in Whitesboro, Texas next to his brother, Reb.

Pall Bearers will be Dustin Stock, Chris Stodghill, Ryan Lounsbury, Marshall Knowlton, Jimmy Van Dyne and John Pierson.
