December 8, 1932 –  January 23, 2015  Funeral Services for Bobby Dan Thompson, 82, of Dallas, Texas, will be held Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Meador Funeral Home Chapel, Whitesboro, Texas, with Pastor Jim Henvey officiating. Interment will follow at Ethel Texas Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, January 27, 2015 from 5:30 to 8:00 p.m. at the North Dallas Church of the Nazarene, 10303 Webb Chapel Rd., (between Walnut Hill and Royal Lane), Dallas, Texas 75229. He died Friday, January 23, 2015 at St. Paul Hospital, Dallas, Texas. Meador Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.He was born to Melvin and Gladys (Burgin) Thompson on December 8, 1932 in Collinsville, Texas. He married Janie (Rocha) Thompson on September 8, 1962 in Odem, Texas.
He and Janie enjoyed 52 years of blissful marriage. Besides, Janie, his other love was the Nazarene Church having been a member for 45 years. He enjoyed studying the Bible and being a carpenter and builder, just as his Creator, Jesus.
He is survived by his wife, Janie of Dallas; son, Brad Allen Thompson of Dallas and daughter, Darla Thompson of Austin, Texas.
Pallbearers will be Dean Overall, Gary O’Pry, Vaughn Thompson, Scott Blomberg, Ranual Bocanegra, Jr., David Rocha, Andres Rocha and Greg Thompson.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin & Gladys Thompson; brothers, Ted Thompson, Donald Thompson and Billy Thompson and sisters, Lois Blomberg and Leta Vannoy.
