December 22, 1929 –  May 1, 2016  Billy Joe Gray, Sr.Billy Joe Gray, Sr. 86, passed away May 1, 2016 at North Texas Medical Center in Gainesville. He was born to Bob and Lela Gray in Marietta Oklahoma on December 22, 1929. He married Joyce Juanita Gibson on September 17, 1979 in Bonham.

He was owner and operator of a trucking business for many years. After retiring he bought and sold equipment from auctions. He loved his family and friends and was known as an honest man.

Funeral Service will be held at 10:00 a.m. Wednesday, May 4th at Meador Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Darrell McIntyre officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Gainesville. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Tuesday, May 3 from 6 to 8 p.m.

Survivors include his wife, Nita Gray of Gainesville; one son, Billy Joe Gray, Jr. and wife Cindy; brother, Jimmy Gray and wife Diane of Lindsay; two grandsons Josh and wife Lindsay and Adam and wife Brandy; three great granddaughters, Erin Gray, Kynleigh Gray and Rubee Gray; numerous nieces and nephews; and many, many friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, three sisters, Olene, Betty and Bobbie, and one brother Buck.

Pall Bearers are Billy Kupper, Jimmy Kupper, Joe Hoedebeck, Kenny Hoedebeck, Don Mobley and Bill Gray. Honorary Bearers are Michelle Cheaney and Connie Reiter.
