August 7, 1926 –  October 31, 2012  A Memorial service with Masonic Rites for Billy Gene Cashion is scheduled for 2:00 p.m. Saturday, November 3rd at First United Methodist Church with Rev. Don Yeager officiating. Mr. Cashion passed away Wednesday, October 31, 2012 in Dallas.
Billy Gene was born August 7, 1926 in Lexington, Oklahoma. He attended Cleveland County Elementary School, Norman, Oklahoma High School and Cooke County Junior College. Billy served his country in the US Army from October 1944 until August 1946 serving in the Battle of Central Europe. Following his time in the military, Billy married Marchie Lee Luke on November 20, 1947 in Gainesville. They lived in Davis, Oklahoma until moving to Gainesville, Texas in June, 1953. Mr. Cashion began employment with Arco Oil and Gas Company in 1951 and retired in 1985. He was active in the community and his church serving in the following capacities; Building and Revenue Committee-Gainesville Lodge #210, Board of Trustees-Woodbine Water Supply Corp., Life Member of Disabled American Veterans, Board of Trustees-First United Methodist Church, Retired Senior Volunteer Program, Chairman Member-ship Committee, 85th District Fort Worth Scottish Rite Bodies, President of ARCO Retirees Club and Charter member of Fort Worth Scottish Rite Bodies Member OES-1123.

Survivors of Billy Gene Cashion include children, Barbara Cashion Higgason and Richard Eugene Cashion; grandchildren, Stephen Douglas Mead and wife, Lisa, Megan Mead Livingston and husband, Cameron, Ryan Joseph Cashion, Reece Eugene Cashion and Ricki Lee Cashion and those all important great-grandbabies, Revan Hunter Cashion and Cadence Bailey Livingston.
