October 16, 1935 –  March 16, 2012  LEWISVILLE – Billie Frances Earl, age 76, passed away March 16, 2012.
She was the daughter of the late John Walter and Barbara Della Harvey Earl.

Earl is also preceded in death by her two brothers Emmett F. Earl, J.W. Earl, six sisters, Beulah Mae Akin, Mozelle Hazelwood, Ruby Linsteadt, Nina Faye Ford, Nancy Louise Hankins, Arietta Edwina “Het” Earl Ders, her son James Ellis West III and her daughter Lisa Gayle West Vasquez.

Ms. Earl is survived by her brother C.W. “Johnny” Earl of Wilmington, IL; sister Zora Lea Streib of Rockford, IL; grandchildren Tim Fails of Lewisville, Rachel Vasquez and Makenzi Vasquez both of Krum, Ashley West, Aaron West, and Justin West all of Sherman; son-in-law Don Vasquez of Krum, four great grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Ms. Earl was born in Grayson County October 16, 1935 and raised in the Whitesboro area. She lived in Denison and Sherman most of her life…recently she lived in Lewisville. Ms. Earl retired from Johnson & Johnson in 1994 after 30 years of service as a Sr. Analyst. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Whitesboro since 1953. Ms. Earl was a member of Whitesboro High School’s 1953 Class A State Finalist basketball team where she was named First Team All-State and set the record for the most consecutive free throws made in the State Tournament at 19.

Visitation for friends and family will be Friday March 23rd from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Meador Funeral home in Whitesboro.
