June 8, 1944 –  November 17, 2012  A memorial service for Beverly Ann Alford, 68, will be held 7:00 p.m., Friday, November 23rd at First Baptist Church Oakridge, with her husband, Pastor Travis Alford officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the service at the church. Mrs. Alvord passed away Saturday, November 17, 2012 at Presbyterian Hospital in Denton.
Beverly Ann was born in Holten, Kansas June 8, 1944, the daughter of Charles Edward and Clyda Fern Bostwick. She married Thomas “Travis” Alford March 7, 1964 in Hoit, Kansas. She and Travis served as missionaries with the Mission Service Corp. Beverly was active in her local church, playing the piano and serving in various other capacities. She also worked outside the home as a bookkeeper for MCM Heating and Air Conditioning. Beverly was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who will be missed by her family and friends .

Survivors of Mrs. Alford include her husband Thomas “Travis” Alford of Gainesville; daughter and son-in-law, Sarah Jo and Terry Whitehead of Gainesville; grandson, Travis Levi Alford of Gainesville; granddaughter, Abbie Elizabeth Whitehead of Gainesville; sister, Carol Shipman of Topeka, Kansas; brother, John Bostwick of Topeka, Kansas; nieces, Linda Anno of Hoit, Kansas and Sheryl Barnett of Valley Falls, Kansas and a great-nephew, Wyatt Barnett of Valley Falls, Kansas. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, David Bostwick.
